Itim & YesPay ‘credit where credit is due’
Itim in partnership with Yespay has added Trago Mills and The Entertainer amongst many other major high-street retailers, to its managed card payment service leading to significant reduction in costs and PCI DSS compliance. Historically these retailers have had their own in-house card payment solution, before PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and EMV (Europay, Visa and MasterCard) Chip & PIN standards were mandated by their Card Acquirers.
Mick Parker, Head of IT at Trago Mills commented, “The Yespay managed card payment service system has been excellent! There has been 100% availability of the service for over 200 days since Yespay introduced its latest multi-data centres cloud computing based card payment service architecture.”
Boris Hurinek, Itim’s Head of Development and Support Services, also said, “The improvements resulting from the cloud computing based card payment service introduced by Yespay, are clearly visible internally at ITIM and our mutual customers. The Yespay solution has the added advantage of being very simple to implement, significantly reducing the effort compared with other solutions, therefore improving the retailer’s project costs and timescales. In one case ITIM were able to achieve go live for a particular retailer in 2 weeks from a standing start. Ongoing support is also streamlined through Yespay 24*7 helpdesk.”
Ian Pulsford, Head of IT at The Entertainer, was very complimentary about Yespay at the ITIM customer day. Ian said, “At the recent ‘Christmas Peak Trading Feedback’ session with senior store managers, it was nice from an IT perspective to be praised for payment service speed and availability at the stores during peak Christmas trading.”
“We have many thousands of top, mid- and small-tier retailers migrated to our very cost-efficient and 99.99% available card payment service throughout Europe and North America.”, said Nigel Exton, Senior Vice President of Operations and Client Services for Yespay globally.
Mike Wheble, Itim’s UK Sales Manager said, “We have been working with Yespay for a number of years now and are delighted with the results that this partnership brings. The combination of the two companies means that we can really add value to the solutions that we are providing”.
Cost-of-ownership and cash-flow analysis prepared by YESpay, a managed Internet and Card Present (Chip and PIN) payment service provider (PSP) with 4 global data centres, located in London (UK), Heathrow (UK), Toronto (Canada) and San Francisco (USA), provides a good base for comparing the financial propositions of the two payment solutions, namely, in-house and managed. Having YESpay managed payment service instead of installing and managing an in-house card payment solution can result in CAPEX and operational savings of up to 40% over 4 years. It also eliminates the need of diverting manpower time and funds into non-core activities like payment solution for the merchants. In addition, it caters for any future upgrading of software due to change in EMV and PCI standards and regulations at no extra cost.
